Healthy active living includes eating healthy foods, staying physically active, and getting enough rest. Developing healthy habits starts in early childhood. Eating well and being physically active helps a child continue to grow and learn. Why Is It Important? The Tehama County Health Services Agency is committed to a healthy community using health education, prevention, assessment, early intervention, and treatment with follow-up when necessary. We encourage active participation from residents while keeping confidentiality. AAL is a European programme funding innovation that keeps us connected, healthy, active and happy into our old age. We support the development of products and services that make a real difference to people’s lives – for those facing some of the challenges of ageing and for those who care for older people if they need help.

Healthcare providers and laboratories are required to report certain diseases and conditions to Public Health for case management and statistical purposes. Public Health uses this information to protect the community through communicable disease case investigations. In the case of certain diseases, such as measles and bacterial meningitis, Public Health works to ensure that a sick person receives treatment, and that friends and family are protected as well.
